Following extended skin contact over a four week period, the wine was then matured in high quality, tight grained French oak barrels for 6 months before being bottled.
The wine displays a distinctive regional expression of choc-mint along with cool climate aromas of violets, spice and cedar tobacco notes from French oak maturation. Deliciously haunting flavours of blackcurrant, mint and dark chocolate persist around a finely tuned tannin structure and a thoroughly enjoyable long and persistent finish.
