Omar perhaps has an unfair reputation as the “other” Taiwanese distillery.
Nevertheless, this a lovely dram, produced at the Nantou state owned distillery, who first starting distilling whisky in 2008.
Colour: golden copper.
Aroma: Lemon, runny caramel and orange peels.
Palate: Milk chocolate, ripe banana and vanilla essence.
Finish: Honey barley and dried tropical fruit.
