This creation symbolizes Clase Azul journey: how far they’ve come these past 25 years as well as the brilliant future that awaits them. It is also a way for Clase Azul to thank all the people who have been part of this journey: the talented artisans, all those who are part of the Clase Azul family, and, of course, everyone who has brought a small piece of their Exquisite Mexico into their homes.
The tequila created for this edition is an homage to the signature Clase Azul Tequila Reposado. Clase Azul Master Distiller, Viridiana Tinoco, reimagined its creation to give it a special touch. Part of the agave used to make this blend was milled using a traditional stone mill called a tahona, a practice that dates back to the origins of tequila. In addition, the fermentation process was extended to emphasize citrus and fruity notes.
To celebrate their legacy, Clase Azul created their first decanter completely painted in the distinctive cobalt blue color. Its “feathered” pattern, inspired by floating dandelion seeds, represents how Clase Azul has spread throughout the world. Within each hand-painted design, 25 of the brushstrokes are painted in platinum, each one representing a year of the history.
This piece is a nod to the very first decanter they created: Clase Azul Tequila Reposado. The icon that started this dream. The new emblem adorns its center, making this edition the first to feature Clase Azul new identity that welcomes the future while paying tribute to the past.
This blend was aged for eight months in two different casks previously used to age different American whiskeys, each one imparting its own distinct and rich tasting notes.
