The abundance of “pressed juices” (top rate concentrated wine) in 2015 boosted the already great ageing potential of wines born in that year. Talbot 2015 naturally reflects the well-defined character of an exceptional vintage and its unique terroir. The 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31 % Merlot, and 3 % de Petit Verdot blend exhibits beautiful distinction and great promise. The sombre, violet-tinted Saint-Julien Quatrieme Cru Classe already displays the depth of the vintage. The very refined nose exudes flowers, red fruits and subtle yet defined wood. Dense, silky, and fleshy, the palate offers great elegance and delicate, polished tannins leading to a black fruits-filled finish. Truly a remarkable wine!
