Merlot 60% and Cabernet Franc 40%
Maison Blanche is located in Montagne Saint-Emilion, right next to Saint-Emilion with similar soils of clay, limestone and sand. This is the 2nd wine of Chateau Maison Blanche. All grapes are handpicked and mostly de-stemmed, and fermented naturally in glass-lined cement tanks without any additives.
The wine has compact aromatics of dark plum and fresh, healthy earth. On the palate, there are flavors of blackberry, cassis, plum and pepper. The youthful density of the mouthfeel helps enhance the deep fruit notes on the tongue, but definitely cellar a few for the near future.
