Mouton Cadet was created in 1930 by a decision of Baron Philippe de Rothschild, who wanted to make part of his production more accessible. He therefore had part of the red wine produced by Château Mouton Rothschild downgraded. Since then, this cuvée remains a classic for all red wine lovers.

Its unique taste comes from a very precise blend. The Merlot brings roundness and aromas of ripe red fruits. The Cabernet Sauvignon brings tannic structure and notes of small black fruits. The Cabernet Franc gives elegance and freshness. The finish is remarkable for its richness and reveals a slight sweetness, a little extra that concludes this wine in the most beautiful way
