Château Siaurac is a historic French wine producer located on the right bank of Bordeaux. The 46 hectare (113 acre) estate is one of the largest of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation.

Siaurac was founded in the early part of the 17th Century by a Monsieur Ciorac, for whom the estate is named. The Siaurac estate was subsequently acquired by Pierre Brisson in 1832 who later left it to his son Benjamin Brisson. Under the management of Brisson, the estate became the biggest of its kind in the region.

The estate is planted to 75 percent Merlot, 20 percent Cabernet Franc and 5 percent Malbec over 40 individual plots characterized by a range of gravel, clay and sandy-clay soils. In the winery, these plots are kept seperate throughout the fermentation process for the Grand Vin. Post ferment, it is barrel-aged for 12 to 14 months in French oak of which up to 20 percent is new. Plaisir de Siaurac is the second wine from the Chateau.

The nose reveals notes of leather and fine notes of blackberry, redcurrants, wild strawberry associated with hints of cassis, sweet spices as well as a discreet hint of undergrowth, tobacco and a hint of gray pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral and relatively gourmande. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, redcurrants and slight notes of raspberry combined with a discreet hint of cassis, slight notes of liquorice, chocolate, toasted wood and a very discreet hint of tea. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
