Mars Maltage “Cosmo” is a blend of single malts distilled and aged in Shinshu, with single malts distilled and aged in Scotland. Whilst the blend matured, with beautiful oxidative and assertive notes, it has also managed to maintain the ardour of its younger days. The blending here is the work of a great master.
Amber gold colour. Aromas of walnut slice, spicy stewed pear and later, prunes. Light to medium bodied with attractive malt flavours and a delicate sweet smoke overlay. Mildly oily and spicy to finish. Good freshness throughout. Ends medium long.
