Here is one of the 3 largest properties of the CHÂTEAUneuf-du-Pape appellation with its 92 hectares of vines. Very old vineyard, the first archives of CHÂTEAU la Nerthe date back to the 16th century when the estate was named the Ferme du Beauvenir. His name today echoes one of the members of the family who bought it in the 16th century and who was none other than a prior living on the Nerthe Massif
This red wine is extremely dynamic on the palate – juicy and spicy with a twist of peppery flavour. The garrigue shapes it with a palette of wild herbs and leather aromas, giving it a distinctly Mediterranean character. Its solid, well-polished tannins support the round, dense and powerful profile and give it an impressive length with a stimulating finish. It promises excellent ageing.
