The Bürgstädter Spätburgunder from the Rudolf Fürst winery comes from the Bürgstadt vineyards of the winery. The southern slopes here benefit from the valley basin climate of the Main valley. The Bürgstädter sites such as Centgrafenberg and Hundsrück are among the top sites of Paul and Sebastian Fürst. Here the Pinot Noir vines grow primarily on weathered Buntsandstein soil. The vineyards on which the Pinot Noir stands face south and are protected from cold winds by the Spessart and the Odenwald.
Offers a ripe scent of black pepper and a delicate note of almonds. Herbal and cherry aromas can also be recognized. It has a silky, playful character with a long finish. The tannins of the Bürgstädter Spätburgunder are usually soft and elegant. The acid is sometimes a bit harsh when young, which settles with age. Then the Pinot Noir becomes round and soft.
