Lagavulin is known as “the king of Islay”. Maturation in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry cask for at least 16 years, give it a massive peat-smoke flavour, offering richness, complexity which turns into a truly interesting drum. One of the MUST have collection for someone who love a powerful, complex peated whisky.
This is a nice sipping whisky, suggest to drink it neat. Water is added to open up more aroma and make the whisky to be more mellowed and easy drinking. Good pairing with cigar.
