Pomerol is slightly different from other major Bordeaux appellations. With its location on the right bank of the Gironde river, the soil is less rocky, just as there is more focus on Merlot in the famous Bordeaux blend.
The taste is juicy and fruit-driven with soft tannins, ie wine that appeals to most people.
This Pomerol has all the finest features from a class of Pomerol, with strong body and good structure as well as soft tannins.
The wine is rich, smooth and complex with an emphasis on black fruits and potent spice character. From a very small vineyard area, the Chateau using a combination of concrete and oak to mature and vinify the wine, they harness the best flavours and ripeness from their soils and micro climate.
