The Second Wine, which comes under the Haut-Médoc appellation, has attractive freshness and vibrancy. It offers a window onto the world of Château Lynch-Moussas and displays a deep ruby colour, a fruity, roasted coffee bean nose, and round, fine tannins on the palate, followed by a lingering finish. Made from a combination of Haut-Médoc and declassified Pauillac plots, this wine expresses a typicity that has a very marked Pauillac character. Elegant with a youthful structure, it reveals, after a short while in bottle, very expressive aromatics with notes of raspberries, cherries and coffee.
