A great wine rooted in the heart of Saint-Emilion
Without giving in to fads, our family lays claim to a typically French winemaker signature, inscribed between tradition and modernity. This respect for the terroir is linked to our origins. We were born there, in this vineyard with a unique location backing onto the southern hillside of Saint-Emilion.
The alliance of hillside wines and the foot of the coast produces a nectar that is powerful, racy and silky at the same time. This harmony is found in all the vintages of our Château.
We like to share our wine, to discover its finesse and elegance, the result of know-how passed down over generations.
The end of winter 2012 was dry and cold (February) showing a significant water deficit. Then spring remained cool but wet (April), disrupting bud burst and causing shifts in growth observable on the same vine. Finally, the temperatures warmed up, but the rainy episode in early June disturbed flowering by accentuating the run-out phenomena. In July, very hot periods alternated with sharp drops in temperature, this irregularity not favoring veraison. The end of the summer proved to be more regular, hot and dry in August, mild September when the rains at the end of the month accentuated the ripeness; the vineyard is in perfect sanitary condition at the time of the harvest.
