50% Pinot Noir
50% Chardonnay
Moet & Chandon MCIII Multi Vintage Champagne was born from a desire to capture the diverse qualities of three distinct wine-ageing environments in a single harmoniously complex champagne. The three environments involved in each layer of MCIII, metal, wood and glass, are vital to the champagne’s success. Winemakers blended still wines aged in stainless steel vats, bringing richness, with oak-aged Grand Vintage wines, providing elegance and Grand Vintage champagne ageing in glass bottles allowing incredible freshness.
This unique champagne is a three-tiered blend of 40% 2003 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines; 40% 2002, 2000 and 1998 Grand Vinatge still wines; and 20% 1999, 1998 and 1993 Grand Vintage champagnes. Once blended, these components underwent secondary fermentation in the bottle and were aged an average of 10 years – resting for one further year before disgorgement.
The name MCIII is a celebration of Moet 7 Chandon’s three-tiered approach. The 001 on the bottle references that this is the first and only cuvee of this innovation to be released so far and the 14 references the disgorgement date.
MCIII is a state of the art creation.
